A GoFundMe has been created for the family of the victim, 60-year-old Lucian “Luke” Ashcraft, who was killed in an overnight burglary on Wednesday at his home in Paris.

Timothy Mitchell is accused of killing a 60-year-old during a burglary in Bourbon County on Wednesday.

The Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office says they received reports of a burglary at a garage on Ruddles Mill Road just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday. When arriving on the scene, deputies reportedly found Timothy Mitchell inside the garage, and the homeowner was near the entrance of the property, unresponsive.

The sheriff’s office says that the homeowner, identified by the Bourbon County Coroner’s Office as 60-year-old Lucian Ashcraft, was pronounced dead at Centerpoint Hospital. The cause of death is undetermined but according to the Bourbon County Coroner, the body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
