Winter storm forces cancellation of most flights at Blue Grass Airport

Winter Storm Fern has forced the cancellation of most flights at the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, stranding many travelers and disrupting several travel plans across the region.

According to the Blue Grass Airport, some flights are still coming in and out of the airport. Runways at the airport are still open to private flights.

Cancelled flights included destinations to major cities such as Charlotte, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Miami and Dallas.

Airport officials are advising travelers to check directly with their airlines for rebooking options and updated flight information.
