An injured hiker was rescued Saturday afternoon from a hiking trail in Menifee County.
Wolfe County Search & Rescue received a call around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 reporting that a woman had injured her lower leg on the Copperas Creek Trail and was unable to walk out on her own.
According to officials, rescuers hiked about one mile to reach the woman. They treated her injuries at the scene and carried her to the trailhead.
The woman’s husband then transported her to a hospital. Wolfe County Search & Rescue wished her a quick recovery.
