Carly Simon Announces First Album Of Original Songs In 18 Years

legendary singer-songwriter Carly Simon has announced that she will release a new album, Comes In Waves, her first new record of original songs in almost eighteen years.

Simon announced that Comes In Waves will be out via Irish Records. She wrote and recorded the 12-track album mostly at her Martha’s Vineyard home.

Simon, who co-wrote and co-produced the album with David Spencer, also released the record’s first single “Howl.”

The upcoming album got its title from “Slowly,” a song centered on patience, return, and emotional renewal. Simon enlisted John Forté, as well as her son Ben for the project. Her daughter Sally contributed vocals and created the cover artwork for the single.
