Teen arrested following shooting in Kenton County

The teen accused in an alleged shooting that left a juvenile victim in critical condition Friday night in Covington was booked in the Kenton County Detention Center on Sunday.

According to the detention center’s website, 18-year-old Ryan Cupp is charged with first-degree assault and has a $100,000 cash bond.

According to police, authorities were contacted around 11:30 p.m. Friday night regarding a possible shooting at the 100 block of East 11th Street. Upon arrival, police identified a teen victim who suffered a gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital by ambulance and was listed in critical condition.
