Several puppies were found dead near Eureka Road in Harrison County.
Animal advocate Megan Frances posted about the incident on Facebook and said the puppies looked clean and healthy.
“They should be alive right now,” Frances said in her post.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office confirmed five puppies were found dead, and said the bodies would be sent off to determine a cause of death.
Frances said the puppies would be taken to UK for a necropsy, and she also shared photos of them to see if any would be recognized.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office, and no arrests have been made.
Frances said anyone with information regarding the deaths should contact the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office by calling 859-234-7135.
