Wham!’s ‘Last Christmas’ Returns to No. 1 On U.K. Singles Chart

Wham!‘s holiday classic “Last Christmas” has returned to No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart.

After being knocked out of the top spot by Kylie Minogue‘s “XMAS” last week, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley find “Last Christmas” earning its 12th non-consecutive week at the summit.

“XMAS” was pushed down to No. 4 on the final singles chart of 2025, while Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” moved up one spot to No. 2.

“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” from Brenda Lee reached a new peak of No. 3, capping off a strong year for the 1962 festive classic.

“Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl returns to the Top 5 at No. 5.

A week after his death, Chris Rea‘s “Driving Home for Christmas” moves up 20 places to break into the Top 10.
