Several puppies were found dead near Eureka Road in Harrison County. Animal advocate Megan Frances posted about the incident on Facebook and said the puppies looked clean and healthy. “They should be alive right now,” Frances said in her post. ONE Lexington, the community group founded in 2017, recently released the city’s gun violence numbers for 2025 and they are, once again, improved from previous years. Gun-related homicides were down 34% in 2025, the organization reported. An 18-year-old has been charged in connection to a February 5 shooting at a Lexington apartment complex that left a teen dead. According to Lexington Police, Amontae Flynn was arrested on Thursday and is charged with murder and first degree robbery. The coroner identified the victim as 17-year-old Johnathon Hunt.
