McCracken County Public Schools reports a McCracken County High School student died in a car accident over the weekend.
“Our hearts go out to the student’s family, friends, and the entire Mustang community during this difficult time,” said the school system. “To support students and staff, a grief response team will be available at McCracken County High School. We encourage parents to talk with their children and reach out if additional support is needed.”
McCracken County Public Schools did not disclose the identity of the student in its statement.
“Our school community mourns together, and we stand ready to support one another,” the school system added.
