Kentucky Fish and Wildlife recruit dies during training exercise in Barren County

A 24-year-old who worked for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources died during a training exercise in Barren County on Friday, according to police.

Kentucky State Police are investigating after a death at the Game Warden Academy in Barren County. Police responded to an training incident around 1:13 p.m.

According to police, William Bailey had a medical emergency during the training exercise. The Game Warden Recruit is from Richmond, Ky.

Bailey was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, but he was pronounced dead.
